The internet as a new mode of ‘communication’, has revolutionized the computer and communications world like nothing before. The invention of the telegraph, telephone, radio, and computer set the stage for this unprecedented integration of capabilities. The web is at once a world-wide broadcasting capability, a mechanism for information dissemination, and a medium for collaboration and interaction between individuals and their computers and brands without regard for geographic location.
On the internet right now, many sites are dying due of lack of interest and funding. It is disappointing that there are relatively few really well designed web sites. Most sites are informative and do the job but really entertaining ones, those that make you want to go back for more, are rare. Surprisingly, few have that genuine ‘wow’ factor. Some web designers say: ‘We design it that way intentionally, we want to make it hard to read.’ Others say ‘…no need to put so much work into content, the majority of surfers want the video and the audio anyway, no one reads.’
Our web team involves media consultants, designers, programmers who are skilled individuals in building effective e-commerce and informative websites. Our experience allow us to build dynamic websites – whilst considering both 'design' and 'usability'.
We begin with our research to identify the objective and scope of the site, followed by a brainstorming session which is presented to clients – with the idea to develop an understanding of our approach. Secondly the ideas are shortlisted and a concept is selected and developed into a solution. Our designers and programmers work hand in hand to guarantee a satisfying outcome.
Our philosophy of a successful website design is a combination of clear, tasteful layout, readable typography, easy navigation and good thinking. It can be argued but we believe typography is the primary vehicle of a site. As an object, it is the foundation of mechanical type composition, whether in lead or pixels. Good typography has nothing to do with nice fonts. It affects how text appears by controlling the space, shape, and sizes of the letters being used. Its appearance on screen is very important. Intense competition for the user’s attention means that words must attract, inform as quickly as possible.
